Academy of Medicine Retired Fellows Program
The Academy of
Medicine Retired Fellows Program was initiated in 1999 to provide Retired
Fellows of The Academy, their spouses and guests opportunities for
fellowship and a forum for discussion on topics of interest to the group.
Meetings are
held monthly between September and June, routinely on the third Tuesday of
the month, at 10:00 am at The Academy. A Holiday Dinner Party on the
second Tuesday of December has become an annual event.
The programs
presented in 2007-2008 include The US Attorney General, Justice and
Scandal; The Art of Bonsai; Perspectives on Ethanol as a Fuel; The Trial
of Saddam Hussein; Modern Medicine in Emerging China; New Insights on the
Problem of Global Warming; All About Polls; Afghanistan and Pakistan:
Political and Military Realities; and Tecumseh: A Vision of Glory.
The 2008-2009 dates are September 16; October 21; November 18;
Holiday Dinner Party on December 9; January 20; February 17; March 17;
April 21; May 19; and June 16.
